Judo

Judo is a modern Japanese martial art and Olympic sport that focuses on throws, grappling, and submissions rather than strikes. It was founded by Jigoro Kano in 1882 and evolved from traditional Japanese Jujutsu. The word "Judo" (柔道) means "gentle way," emphasizing using an opponent's force against them rather than relying on brute strength.

Taekwondo

ITF Taekwondo (International Taekwon-Do Federation) is a style of Taekwondo founded by General Choi Hong Hi in 1966. It focuses on self-defense, traditional patterns (tuls), and powerful techniques based on scientific principles of movement. Unlike WT (World Taekwondo) Taekwondo, which is more sport-oriented and emphasizes Olympic-style sparring, ITF Taekwondo includes a mix of sparring, breaking, self-defense, and patterns with a strong emphasis on realistic combat applications.

Kali

Arnis, also known as kali or eskrima/escrima, is the national martial art of the Philippines. These three terms are, sometimes, interchangeable in referring to traditional martial arts of the Philippines ("Filipino Martial Arts", or FMA), which emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives, bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons, as well as "open hand" techniques without weapons.
